One of the coolest things about the coaching and consulting side of what I do is that when you’re on the phone…you can be anywhere.  Tuesday night I did my coaching call with Chicago from the cliffs above Laguna Beach.  Didn’t take this shot myself…but here’s where I was!

Ok…TypePad is the real culprit.  The idea that posts don’t autosave along the way is ridiculous.  Ever worked really hard on something only to realize that the little beep you heard an hours ago was the sound of your dog knocking out the plug to your wireless router?  I couldn’t kill Maxwell.  Sometimes he’s my only friend.

The Howell’s are hanging out at home today.  The smoker’s going.  Later there’ll be some really good brisket, the best potato salad in America, Mark’s special baked beans, and brownies with ice cream for dessert.  Good times.

This morning I had a little yard work to do.  Not much…but it wouldn’t be the 4th without some yardwork.  Here’s a look at the yard:
