Insulation from Discontent
In my recent post Why I Blog I talked about how important it is for me to connect what I’m finding in the world of strategy and innovation with the beliefs that I hold most dear. At the heart of it all is my commitment to the mission; the mission of helping people find Jesus.
In Seth Godin’s post today he wrote the most incredible line and I have to share it. Writing about the culture of discontent he said, "It seems to me that insulation from discontent comes from building a relationship. From real people. Relationships that make us feel counted upon, respected, trusted and valued cut through the ennui of dissatisfaction." I have to say, that is a profound realization. From my perspective, only the one relationship will solve that problem. But he’s on the right track!
