A new book came in the mail this week. Looks like one that really has potential. How: Why How We Do Anything Means Everything…in Business (and in Life), by Dov Seidman. Ever heard of him? Me neither. I find some books in the obvious places (Amazon or Barnes and Noble). Some books find me. This one found me! Got an email asking if I’d like to take a look. That happens. Some times it has a good sound. Other times I can tell it’s just not me. This one just seemed to have potential.
And the comments on the flap look great! Marcus Buckingham says, "This book will change your life in profound ways." Now that is an endorsement!
What’s the gist? How about this line from the preface: "I believe success can no longer be pursued directly, that it can best be achieved—and only achieved—through the pursuit of something larger and deeper. I believe that if you pursue significance—a goal larger than the bottom line—you should achieve success."
What do you think? Does that ring true? I like the way it seems to be going. You can find out more about the book and the author at the website, www.howsmatter.com. I’ll keep you posted.
