Sometimes if you want to really understand an idea, you need to go back to its roots. If you want to really understand disruptive innovation, you need to go back to The Innovator’s Dilemma. Don’t know it? When is was published in 1997, author Clayton Christensen coined the term "disruptive technology" which referred to the idea that there are both "low-end" and "new-marke" innovations that ultimately can disrupt established, very successful, even leading companies.
