Ok. Here’s a quick heads up. I ordered my copy yesterday. The Starfish and the Spider: The Unstoppable Power of Leaderless Organizations by Ori Brafman and Rod Beckstrom. It looks like a GREAT book! Bob Roberts had a great review yesterday…and the wild man is usually quick to be onto a good thing. Then, I saw a review on 800-CEO-READ today.
The part of the review that caught my attention is this: It’s about movements as opposed to organizations. It’s about revolutions as opposed to top-down, rigid hierarchies. "If you cut off a spider’s leg, it’s crippled; if you cut off its head, it dies. But if you cut off a starfish’s leg it grows a new one, and the old leg can grow into an entirely new starfish."
